Terms & Conditions: Syok to Refer Campaign

Campaign Period

  • This Syok to Refer (“Campaign”) is organised by Modalku Ventures Sdn Bhd (“Funding Societies Malaysia”) and shall commence from 6 November 2026 to 31 December 2026 (“Campaign Period”), both dates inclusive unless extended and notified otherwise.

  • This Campaign temporarily replaces Funding Societies’ standard investor referral programme (“Evergreen Referral Programme”) for the duration of the Campaign Period. Upon the expiry of the Campaign Period, the Evergreen Referral Programme will resume in accordance with its prevailing terms and conditions. 

Eligibility Criteria 

  • This Campaign is open to the following individuals:
    • Referrers
      • All registered and activated investors on the Funding Societies Malaysia platform, (collectively referred to as “Referrer(s)”). 

    • Referees
      • Individuals who are new to the Funding Societies Malaysia platform, who register for an investor account through a Referrer’s unique referral link or referral code during the Campaign Period (collectively referred to as “Referee(s)”).
      • Referees introduced, referred, or onboarded through financial advisors, licensed agents, intermediaries, institutional partners, or any third-party distribution arrangements recognised by Funding Societies are not eligible to participate in this Campaign. 

  • This Campaign is applicable to all investment notes (hereinafter referred to as “Eligible Product(s)”) offered by Funding Societies Malaysia on its platform.

  • To qualify for the Campaign rewards, the following conditions must be fulfilled (“Eligibility Criteria”):
    • The Referrer must share their personal referral link or referral code with the Referee.
    • The Referee must sign up for a Funding Societies Malaysia investor account through the Referrer’s personal referral link or referral code during the Campaign Period.
    • The Referee must complete the full registration process, including but not limited to signing the User Agreement and successfully completing the Know-Your-Customer (“KYC”) process; and
    • During the Campaign Period, the Referee must deposit and invest a minimum of  RM1,000 in any Eligible Product). For the avoidance of doubt, any investment made after 31 December 2026 will render both the Referee and Referrer ineligible for this Campaign. 
  • Referrals which are not made through the Referrer’s personal referral link or referral code are not eligible for rewards under this Campaign. Funding Societies will not be responsible for any referral that is not successfully recorded due to the Referee’s failure to sign up through the Referrer’s personal referral link or referral code.

Referral Rewards

  • Upon fulfilment of all Eligibility Criteria, the Referrer and the Referee will each receive a reward based on the Referee’s Qualifying Investment Amount, as set out below:

         *Qualifying investment amount in Eligible Product hosted by Funding Societies.  

  • (The Referrer Reward and the Referee Reward are collectively referred to as the “Referral Reward(s)”).

  • For the purposes of this Campaign, “Qualifying Investment Amount” means the total net deposit amount invested by the Referee in Eligible Products within the Campaign Period, excluding:
    • any investment that is cancelled or refunded; and
    • any reinvestment of repayments received from earlier investments.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, Referral Rewards are not cumulative, and stacking of Referral Rewards is not permitted. The Referrer and the Referee will each be entitled to only one (1) Referral Reward per successful referral, based on the highest reward tier achieved by the Referee’s Qualifying Investment Amount as at the end of the Campaign Period per referral, subject to a maximum of RM150 per person and Paragraph 15 of these Terms and Conditions. For example:
    • Where the Referee’s Qualifying Investment amount is RM6,000, the Referrer and the Referee will each receive a Referral Reward of RM100; or
    • Where the Referee’s Qualifying Investment amount is RM12,000, the Referrer and the Referee will each receive a Referral Reward of RM150.

Bonus: Referee Lucky Draw

  • In addition to the Referee Reward, all Referees who fulfil the Eligibility Criteria will be automatically entered into a lucky draw to win the prize listed below (“Campaign Prize”):

  • Referees will receive one (1) lucky draw entry for every RM1,000 of investment made within the Campaign Period. For example, an investment of RM5,000 will be entitled to five (5) entries. There is no limit to the number of lucky draw entries a Referee may earn. 
  • The winner of the Campaign Prize (“Winner”) will be selected through a randomized draw from all eligible entries and must correctly answer a question from Funding Societies.

  • Paragraph 16 of these Terms and Conditions apply to the Campaign Prize, and the Campaign Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Funding Societies reserves the right to substitute the Campaign Prize with items of equivalent value at any time without prior notice.

Reward Fulfilment

  • The following terms apply to the Referral Reward:
    • The Referral Reward will be credited to the Referrer’s and Referee’s Funding Societies investment account.
    • All Referral Rewards for both Referrers and Referees will be credited as a one-time payout within 30 working days after the end of the Campaign Period, subject to the fulfilment of the Eligibility Criteria and at Funding Societies’ discretion. The payout will be based on the Referee’s Qualifying Investment amount as at the end of the Campaign Period. No Referral Rewards will be credited during the Campaign Period.
    • Referral Rewards are subject to successful verification and fulfilment of all Campaign requirements. The Referrer’s and Referee’s investor accounts must remain active and in good standing at the point of reward fulfilment.
    • There is no limit to the number of successful referrals a Referrer may make during the Campaign Period. For the avoidance of doubt, a Referee may also refer other investors as a Referrer under this Campaign.
    • Each Referee may only be referred once under this Campaign. In the event that multiple Referrers refer the same Referee, only the first valid referral successfully recorded by Funding Societies will be eligible for the Referral Reward.

  • The following terms apply to the Bonus Lucky Draw:
    • Eligible Referees who are entitled to redeem the Campaign Prize will be notified by Funding Societies via WhatsApp and/or email and will receive the prizes within 45  working days after the end of the Campaign Period.
    • The Winner’s name will be listed in the Winner Announcement which will be published on Funding Societies’ official sites and/or social media channels.
    • The Winner will be contacted to be present for the prize presentation ceremony. While every reasonable effort has been made to ensure that the turnaround time is adhered to, the timeline may still be subject to change depending on various circumstances, including but not limited to the completeness of information furnished by the eligible Referees.
    • The Winner who is unable to attend the prize presentation ceremony may send a representative to collect the prize on their behalf. The representative must present a valid authorization letter from the winner and valid identification to claim the Campaign Prize.
    • If a Winner fails to collect the Campaign Prize within the period specified by Funding Societies, Funding Societies reserves the right to forfeit that Winner’s entitlement to the Campaign Prize and select a replacement Winner. 

  • Funding Societies further reserves the right to amend, modify, shorten, extend, suspend, or terminate the Campaign or any part thereof at any time without prior notice.

General Terms & Conditions

  • By participating in this Campaign, the Eligible Participants are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all the terms and conditions stated herein (including any amendments, changes, or variations thereto). 

  • Funding Societies Malaysia’s decision on all matters relating to this Campaign shall be final and binding on all the Eligible Participants, and no correspondence and/or appeal in respect thereof shall be entertained.

  • By participating in this Campaign, all Eligible Participants agree to provide his or her consent to:
    • Collect, record, hold, store, use, and disclose their personal information for purposes related to the Campaign;
    • Disclose their personal information (including names, addresses, and telephone numbers) to Funding Societies Malaysia's related and/or associate companies, business partners, strategic alliances, and other third parties as deemed necessary by Funding Societies Malaysia for the Campaign, and
    • Allow their photos or video clips to be used for current or future advertising and/or publicity related to the Campaign without any claim for payment or compensation.

  • Upon the expiry of the Campaign Period, the Campaign will be deemed terminated, and this offer will immediately lapse without notice.

  • The Reward is not transferable to any third party, non-negotiable, and non-exchangeable for goods, in part or in full, and/or other redemption item(s).

  • Funding Societies Malaysia reserves the right to substitute or change the Reward with a similar or lower value at its absolute discretion.

  • The Reward may be withdrawn or cancelled by Funding Societies Malaysia at its sole discretion if any purchase or transaction made by Eligible Participants under this Campaign is refunded, voided, cancelled, or deemed fraudulent.

  • Funding Societies Malaysia reserves the right to disqualify Eligible Participants from receiving the Reward if they fail to comply with any terms and conditions contained herein, or engage in fraudulent or wrongful acts related to the products.
    Funding Societies Malaysia shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, or costs incurred or suffered by any participants as a result of your participation in this Campaign.

  • Funding Societies Malaysia shall not be responsible nor shall it accept any liabilities of whatsoever nature, howsoever arising or suffered by the Eligible Participants resulting directly or indirectly from this Campaign. For the avoidance of doubt, any cancellation, termination, suspension or extension of this Campaign or disqualification of the Eligible Participants or forfeiture of the Campaign shall not entitle the Eligible Participants to any claim or compensation against Funding Societies Malaysia or for any and all losses or damages suffered or incurred by the Eligible Participants as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination, suspension, extension, disqualification or forfeiture.

  • These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time and shall prevail over any provisions or representations contained in any other advertising materials. In the event of inconsistency, the latest version of these terms and conditions shall supersede any previous terms and conditions.

  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Malaysia.
